“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

I have been listening/reading news – they say people are mourning Gerald Ford’s passing – I ask why? My opinion is we should be celebrating his life. Be grateful that we were blessed to have him at all. He was certain that the Iraq war was unjustified and stated that in interviews. The administration kept it quiet.

Gerald Ford had a kindness in him that we could/should all emulate – a true gentleman and a healer of the nation. He/we were blessed that he had his wife Betty Ford by his side – for 58 years [she is a true survivor] along with his beautiful family. We need more people like him in politics – Al Gore and John Edwards come to mind – family men as it were.

It is time to celebrate – not mourn – a very special man.

To whom ever wrote the following to Rosie – I thank them for their words and the truths that were said. Somehow I am sure most people accept the loving heart Rosie has and so appreciates everything she has done and will continue to do. Happy safe and peaceful holiday season to all. TYGS – HO!

The grace with which you have handled the attacks from that so-called 5 billion-air is quite, awe-inspiring. The comments you made, were well, pretty plainly truth, and his response, frankly shows the true character of the man and what he, sadly holds as important. (And pretty much, confirmed everything you said in the first place… It’s pretty grand how that works)

Your beauty, both outward and inward, is painted perfectly every single day- when you use the gifts you’ve been blessed with to help those who can not help themselves. It’s inspirational and amazing.

In this world, when for so long, we’ve been bombarded with images of wealth and life lived in a self centered existence… You’re willingness to give of yourself and BE yourself AND your honesty is something this world, and country need more of.

Thank you. THANK YOU.

It’s strange, I know I don’t know you in anyway, but the realness and integrity with which you use your celebrity, is so deeply wonderful, I can not gush enough.

When you speak, we all can know that you are speaking from your heart, caring from your heart, and sharing yourself in a way that really does inspire folks to look, think and care. And again, in a world, or at least nation, that has stolen via the media’s definition of what’s important, and further, a nation that has quietly stolen (or maybe not so quietly) people’s ability to choose AND THINK FOR THEMSELVES… you have no idea how awesome it is to watch you in such a brilliant and real way get people to think, just by being yourself.

(quite the run-on there)

So, your beauty transcends. Never loose site that your beauty, IS beauty, because you’re not even trying, you are just real. And there are QUITE a few folks out there, who see it for what it is…and aren’t blinded by politics, sexuality, or “defined beauty.

I hope and trust your holiday is filled with love, rest, and the magic of family. And… hope you are currently snuggling your gorgeous children sipping on eggnog in matching PJ’s.

Much love and support.

To answer Mr. D. Trump…

Rosie’s show was NOT cancelled. They BEGGED her to keep doing it, and offered her so much money, and they said, “No one turns down this kind of money, Ro.”

But, it wasn’t about the money. Rosie quit so she could spend time with her family. Stating that fame effects adults so greatly…that it’s even that much more of an effect on kids. She wanted to quit to hopefully try and “undo” some of the effects of fame on her kids.

Rosie’s show earned many emmys – can you say the same?

Shame on you that you stooped to a gutter level in your response to her comments. Yes you attack her instead of addressing the real issues.

I will listen to you when you have accomplished even a fraction of the good for people that Rosie – Oprah – Bill Gates – Barbara Walters – Ted Turner – Bono – et al – have done – till then I say as far as I am concerned – you may want to shut up – as they say people who live glass houses – well they shouldn’t oughta. This all may come back and bite you in your very considerable rear end… Oh yes by the way “the Donald” – grow up for goodness sake…!

Saw this article about Trump attacking Rosie O’Donnell and thought I’d share it – below is the comment I put on the site that it appeared…

Trump, Rosie really hate each other

NEW YORK (AP) — Things got even uglier Thursday in the bitter war of words between Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell.

The Donald called the Los Angeles-based morning show “Good Day L.A.” to sound off on O’Donnell’s remarks about his near-firing of Miss USA Tara Conner.

“Maybe she wanted to put the crown back on Miss USA’s head,” the real-estate mogul said of the openly gay O’Donnell, who has four children with her partner, Kelli. “I think she’s very attracted to Miss USA so she probably wanted to put the crown on her head herself.”

Insult No. 2: “She is a very, very unattractive woman who really is a bully.”

Insult No. 3: “Ultimately, Rosie is a loser, and ultimately (“The View”) will fail because of Rosie. … Barbara (Walters) made a mistake and let me tell you something, Barbara’s a good friend of mine. She cannot stand Rosie O’Donnell.”

It all started when O’Donnell, co-host of the ABC morning talk show “The View,” blasted Trump on Wednesday’s show.

She said Trump’s news conference with Conner, whose title was in jeopardy because of underage drinking, had annoyed her “on a multitude of levels” and that the twice-divorced Donald had no right to be a “moral compass” for the beauty queen.

“He inherited a lot of money,” she said. “Wait a minute, and he’s been bankrupt so many times where he didn’t have to pay. … I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in ’Little House on the Prairie.’”

Trump fired back later Wednesday in a TV interview, calling O’Donnell a “slob,” among other insults. “I never went bankrupt, but she said I went bankrupt. So probably I’ll sue her because it would be fun.

An amused O’Donnell talked about Trump’s comments with her co-hosts on Thursday’s edition of “The View.”

“Wasn’t that a fun night of viewing? … Look who’s here today: Kelli. I was afraid to leave her home in case somebody with a comb-over came and stole her from me,” she said.

In an entry posted Wednesday night on her Web site, O’Donnell duplicated an excerpt on Trump’s rocky financial history from his biography on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, which is written by users. She wrote: “i will let you know if the donald sues me/or if kelli leaves me for one of his pals/don’t u find him charming.”

Walters, who created the “The View,” and executive producer Bill Geddie are standing by O’Donnell — and Trump.

“Both Rosie and Donald are high-spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of ‘The View’ for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator. We cherish them both and hope the new year brings calm and peace,” they said Wednesday in a statement.

Trump, owner of the Miss Universe Organization, which includes Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, said Tuesday at a news conference that he would allow Conner to keep her title if she settled down and entered alcohol rehab.

Conner tearfully admitted drinking as a minor at New York nightclubs. She turned 21 a day before the news conference.

MY comment to the Donald…

The truth is – it is a matter of public record about Trump’s bankruptcies and reputation as a ladies man. His comments about Barbara Walters not being able to stand Rosie are ridiculous – since when is he the spokesperson for her. The so-called Donald has launched an ad hominem attack on Rosie. Instead of addressing the truth about himself – he is attacking Rosie. What is up with him? What is he afraid of?

We all know about his apprentice show and how he seems to crave publicity – he tends to build grand extremely expensive buildings [big whoop]– fancy high end, as it were. We all know the way he has treated his wives and his affairs – and he calls Rosie a slob – I think he should look into the mirror.

Look at Oprah and Rosie and Barbara and what they do with their time and money – there main focus is helping others. Many folks see Donald as a very narcissistic rich white guy. I would issue Donald a challenge – to – for a change – build some reasonable housing – school – hospital – something for people who are less fortunate than he. Check with Bill Gates – Oprah, et al. See how it is done. I am sad to say I do not think he is MAN enough to do it. I would not mind his making a liar out of me. Okay, Donald get off your seemingly apathetic bum and put your money where your mouth is. A good beginning is to start working from a heart space.
