Off – too soon – to feed the kitties – and wash clothes – Just a couple ol loads today – can’t/don’t want to deal with any more than that. Cleaning kitchen later – must buy a wet mop as the one I currently have – broke off just above the mop handle – not thrilled about it – hell I AM not thrilled about having to do housework – the maid left many years ago – it is me to do it – cause I cannot stand a dirty house [who would] – clutter for a short time, yes, but really it takes over very quickly. ENOUGH already – rapidly if one is not on top of it.

Have a feeling that this is going to be a very l o n g day…

Have had an experience on another site over the years – being edited for cause – of course – the site does belong to that person – and bottom line they have the right to do what ever they chose – I had decided not to make comments in the posts – have just been commenting in the tag-board on the site belonging to that person. – well – today I have been banned from the tag-board.

I could have chosen to ban that person too – but because I don’t care where they post or comment – just enjoy it when they do. I will not do that.

To each their own – if one does not agree – or doesn’t understand exactly what you are saying – if it is a “friend” Work it out especially when they are willing. It is NOT like a magazine that edits for whatever reasons they need/want to. When it is your friend – please consider how it makes them feel – and even if you are short on time – have the respect they have for you and listen – go from there – make an effort – ask is this what you mean? – don’t assume. Friendship is one of the most valuable gifts in life. Would it not be worth it to at least attempt – to work it out?

Bare in mind that when one cares for you/someone as a friend or relative – they can only truly be hurt by the ones they care about. Yes – I know it is not the end of the world – but do put yourself in their shoes. Is any of this gonna make a difference 25 years from now – Hell no ~ but we live in the now…

Some things just are not funny – I must add that my intention is not to hurt – but to inform – take care and be safe. Thanks for listening… :)

Well – I don’t really know. I do know the people I will not /never support…

Condoleezza Rice
John McCain
Rudi Giuliani
Newt Gingrich
Mitt Romney
Jeb Bush
Dick Cheney
Jack Kemp
Karl Rove
Elisabeth Dole

John Kerry
Bill Richardson (republican in disguise)
I am sure that I will choose more that I cannot support in both parties
Questionable on Hillary Clinton…

Those I will consider supporting:

Al Gore
John Edwards
Barack Obama
Winona LaDuke

Get over yourself – instead of complaining – help me find someone who can see all sides and focus on this country and not corporate crap or phoney religious doctrine. They must work from a heart space – have common sense – and compassion – and an independent thinker – basically just give a damn – where are you?

We are supposed to believe that Rove has given up control – not bloody likely. He and Cheney still call the shots. As I have said this is just another version of the old shell game – now you see it now you don’t! They want to keep us distracted – so they can keep on keeping on – with their agenda. If folks are talking impeachment – start with Cheney – then get shed of Karl Rove – Bush next after – oh my God who the hell do we know that can fill in until the national election? Please – not Condi Rice – oh crap – I cannot think of anyone on either side right now – well, that I would feel comfortable with – boy are we in trouble? I know of a guy in Pocatello that could do – much better – and he doesn’t even want the job.

Come on people is there a human out there who is not tied to some corporation or church – the Dalai Lama – don’t think I would want to put him thru that… nice thought though…well – sort of… keep thinking – pray – whatever it takes – we need to something soon.

I am serious – think outside the box – outside of what your party thinks – what do YOU REALLY think? – now DO something positive. I know I have said this before – our biggest “problem” is Apathy – Complacency – Denial! If you have your homes and cars and food on the table – we all tend to forget the guy who is underemployed – who lives on the street/car with his family – may be that the apartment went condo – they cannot afford to buy it – so between the wife and the husband they have 5 jobs – but they make so little they can barely feed themselves or keep the kids in school much less afford an inflated price on a home or apartment.

I have so had it up to here with stupid republicans and stupid democrats making comments like “the other party is so ignorant” – well sorry folks but party affiliations are stupid – get on board the “we are human’s train” – mitakuye oyasin [we are ALL related]. Someone recently told me that our votes don’t mean much – and what counts is speaking up and speaking out – I think that votes Do count as well as ‘making a noise in this world’ !!! If you are waiting for politicians to do it for you – forget it – they work for US – it is up to us to make our feelings known remind them who is the real boss, as it were! – and when they make stupid decisions – make them accountable – when they lie – make them accountable!

Presently we have one of the most corrupt administrations in history – it is up to us to get off our complacent asses and CLEAN house! Oh, don’t get all I hate republican on me – I DO NOT but- I do not like corruption in anyone we entrust to do these jobs – and before you democrats think they are so damn hot – think again and clean your own damn house before you throw stones. By now you realise I am not affiliated with any political party – I am what I call a GDI – and independent that isn’t affiliated with even the independent party. I am just sick and tired of being sick and tired – I love my country and I am aware that we as Americans need to heal ourselves – how can we help other nations heal if we cannot heal ourselves?

For goodness sake – this is America! – we need to take it back – this crap should not be happening here …!

Mattie Stepanek – passed away three weeks before his 14 th birthday – he counted Ms Oprah Winfrey and Former President Carter amoung his closet friends – he was a peacemaker and in a way he still is – the following is just one of his many poems – he was a joy and just full of pure love and hope – click here – visit his site – learn more about him – his family – his mom. His legacy is hope and peace…

FOR OUR WORLD

We need to stop.
Just stop.
Stop for a moment.
Before anybody
Says or does anything
That may hurt anyone else.
We need to be silent.
Just silent.

Silent for a moment.
Before we forever lose
The blessing of songs
That grow in our hearts.
We need to notice.
Just notice.
Notice for a moment.
Before the future slips away
Into ashes and dust of humility.
Stop, be silent, and notice.
In so many ways, we are the same.
Our differences are unique treasures.
We have, we are, a mosaic of gifts
To nurture, to offer, to accept.
We need to be.
Just be.
Be for a moment.
Kind and gentle, innocent and trusting,
Like children and lambs,
Never judging or vengeful
Like the judging and vengeful.
And now, let us pray,
Differently, yet together,
Before there is no earth, no life,
No chance for peace.

…Affectionately knowm as Brudda Iz – Thirty eight year old Israel Kamakawiwo`ole, born on May 20, 1959, passed away on June 26, 1997 at 12:18 a.m. due to respiratory failure. He was known to many as Brudda Iz. His spirit will live on through his music and in the memories of the “Hawai’ians and Hawai’ians at heart”. We come soon to celebrate his birth – shortly after we honour his passing – he left us with beautiful music and the legacy of his special voice.

One of favourite IZ songs with a very special meaning…

LIVING IN A SOVEREIGN LAND
by Iz Kamakawiwo’ole

(This Song is for the People of Sovereignty Now)

There’s a Celebration On the Palace Grounds
People Need To Know…Just What’s Going Down
There’s A Proclamation From The Powers That Lead Says
Our Island Nation Has Got To Be Free!
Living In A Sovereign Land
Living In A Sovereign Land

Island People Come Together As One
For Future Generations under the Sun
Singing Songs of Freedom
Singing Songs of Love
Living In A Sovereign Land
Living In A Sovereign Land

Bridge:

Our Children Deserve To Know What Went Down A Hundred Years Ago
YouCan Pay The Man
You Can Take The Land
But You Can’t Take The Truth Away!
E Ola Living In A Sovereign Land

Repeat Bridge:
E Ola, Living In A Sovereign Land
E Ola, Living In A Sovereign Land

Brothers And Sisters, Brown, Yellow and White
Its Time To Do What You Know Is Right
Whats Been Taken Must Be Returned
Give Our Children What They Deserve
E Ola, Living In A Sovereign Land
E Ola, Living In A Sovereign Land

Hawai`i `78

Ua mau ke ea o ka `âina i ka pono `o Hawai’i
Being perpetuated (is) the sovereignty of the land to righteousness/ to balance, Hawai`i
Ua mau ke ea o ka `âina i ka pono `o Hawai’i

If just for a day our king and queen
Would visit all these islands and saw everything
How would they feel about the changes of our land
Could you just imagine if they were around
And saw highways on their sacred grounds
How would they feel about this modern city life?

Tears would come from each other’s eyes
As they would stop to realize
That our people are in great, great danger now
How would they feel?
Would their smiles be content, then cry

Chorus:
Cry for the gods, cry for the people
Cry for the land that was taken away
And then yet you’ll find, Hawai’i.

Could you just imagine they came back
And saw traffic lights and railroad tracks
How would they feel about this modern city life
Tears would come from each other’s eyes
As they would stop to realize
That our land is in great, great danger now.

All the fighting that the King has done
To conquer all these islands, now these condominiums
How would he feel if he saw Hawai’i nei?
How would he feel? Would his smile be content, then cry?

(E hana hou i ka hui)
(Repeat chorus)

Ua mau ke ea o ka `âina i ka pono `o Hawai’i
Ua mau ke ea o ka `âina i ka pono `o Hawai’i.

Alloha Nui Loa – Brudda Iz Maholo Nui Loa

As I write – I am listening to IZ and feeling a wonderful sense of peace –
Iz had a big heart and lots of love. I feel his spirit is not that far away….
Aloha to his wife and beautiful daughter…

For those who saw the episode of ER – while Doctor Green was dying/crossing over
it was Iz’s voice in the background singing ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ making
even the strongest soul tear up – being touched to ones centre with soft peaceful
voice of Israel Kamakawiwo`ole,

TYGS…

on Haleakala, Maui at sunset – ooooh great memories – the wonderful fragrances. I miss standing at the edge of Haleakala – looking of in the distance – wondering why I had no fear there [I've an uneasiness about heights, usually] and all the nonsense in the world goes away…

I even miss the Kona winds, when everyone goes a bit ‘lolo’ or ‘pupule’ – as it were. The wild seas at that time and standing on the beach feeling the incredible energy.

One of my favourite memories is of my first Christmas – living on/in a cul-d-sac – all my beautiful amd varied neighbours – some fijians – tongans – hawai’ian – black – one caucasian – the rest of us all a melange – the rainbow peoples of society – we made native dishes [including Italian and Chinese] – and shared. At the time I was a Vegan – but tried them all just a little – to honour my friends – music from all cultures – so beautiful – after all – this was a celebration of the differences in all of us as well as finding the many similarities. We ate – danced and sang and ate – off and on for days.
Oh, yeah – I really miss the islands – the people – music – the life – rather interupted by the gulf war and we thought when it was ended – it was all pau – but daddy wanted war and was elected??? No more on that subject. Just thankful I had my time there and someday I will return – my lei’s floated back to shore… Aloha nui loa! Mahalo nui loa!

What is up with that? I was using Energizer’s – lasted a week. Have changed to Duracell Copper-top AA’s. We will see what we will see…

Maggie Dixon – Coach of West Point’s womwn’s basketball team, dies at 28…

(Maggie’s star shone for all who knew her…

“West Point – Gazing high above the picturesque setting of Trophy Point, sky watchers may be fortunate to spot the celestial wonder of a shooting star. Appearing out of nowhere, it flashes brilliance across the horizon and is gone before you can truly enjoy it.

Maggie Dixon’s life had been much the same. In a short time, she touched the lives of many and realized goals that others may only dream about while staying true to her core values of family and friendship.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Dixon died yesterday afternoon. The young coach jumped into our consciousness as the new face in women’s college basketball. Now she was in the thoughts and prayers of many as she battled a serious heart condition at the tender age of 28.

Life had been a whirlwind for Dixon since she decided to take over the Army women’s basketball program last October. She had no experience as a head coach and no time to adequately prepare for the rigors of a new job.

She worked 16-hour days, and had little time for anything other than her two families: her blood relatives and the players she inherited. But she was doing what she loved the most, coaching basketball.

Dixon joked about how the girls were giving her gray hair with their penchant for thrilling finishes. The best was saved for last when Army erased a late 10-point deficit to knock off Holy Cross and claim the Patriot League championship.

In an instant, Dixon was practically on top of the world. Cadets rushed the floor and a group of football players hoisted a surprised Dixon upon their shoulders in a victory celebration. She hugged her players and beamed with pride. She joked about the condition of the fashionable white jacket she wore that evening. She called it the most exciting night of her life.

In six short months the “kid” had done what no other Army basketball coach “” not Bobby Knight, not Mike Krzyzewski “” had ever done: she reached the NCAA tournament.

Granted, the NCAA experience proved humbling with a 48-point loss to mighty Tennessee. Dixon was still red-eyed from an emotional post-game meeting with her players when she was asked about the future of the program.

“I think the first thing is take a deep breath and kind of step back and enjoy the fact that we got to be here and play on this stage,” Dixon said.

Savoring the moment is a right that Dixon earned, only life is not fair sometimes. Three weeks removed from her basketball pinnacle and more than a year shy of her 30th birthday, Dixon was unexpectedly felled by a heart ailment on Wednesday and was in critical condition yesterday before her death in the afternoon.

The news was shocking, even on a campus that regularly honors its fallen graduates “” many of whom are still twenty-something like Dixon “” with somber ceremonies.

Dixon is the right fit for a rigid Academy, a coach who could be serious without taking herself too seriously. She worked her players hard but always found time to lighten up the moment when needed. She was a great ambassador for the school.

Everyone who met Dixon found her charming. She loved her family very much and couldn’t go a day without phoning them. She was gracious to strangers, and was obviously raised the right way, offering a welcome handshake and thanking people for allowing her to share her life’s story.

No one expected Dixon to remain a permanent fixture at West Point “” no shooting star ever stays in place “” but we certainly prayed for her well-being and hoped we would have had an opportunity to see her prowl the Army sidelines once again.”)

We send prayers to the friends and families of a phenominal human being who was here for too short a time – and all the while giving thanks that she WAS here.

Sooooo-now Libby says Bush and Cheney authorised the ‘Leak’ thus making it de-classified. Hmmm! Bunch of twits – how stupid do they think we are? The real reason the ‘leak’ was done was to punish the agents [husband for telling the truth regarding the war, etc.]- the leak was done by Karl Rove and Cheney. Bush said the person who was guilty of the ‘crime’ would not be welcome in his administration – repeatedly he said this – the investigation cost millions – at no time did anyone in the administration – say – oh, well, this is info that the president ‘leaked’. yeh, sure… the following is a previous post I made months ago – I feel it bears repeating.

[[Bush made the statement that anyone in his administration leaking information would be fired and prosecuted. Obviously, that doesn’t apply to the lead leaker his “Brain Karl Rove. (For those of you who had the courage to view the film made by mostly republicans called “Bush’s Brain–it can give one insight into who is really running the country).

We are learning that administration is apparently not only talking out of both sides of their mouths, but out of their asses. too. We have found that the contracts for re-building Iraq were actually awarded without having to bid for them over a year before the 9/11 attack. Contracts given to Carlisle- Halliburton, et al. Cheney and Bush have more than vested interests in those companies.

For two years, the G. W. Bush White House had asserted that Bush’s closest political advisor, Karl Rove, had nothing to do with press leaks revealing that the wife of the former U.S. ambassador whose report had publicly refuted administration claims that Saddam Hussein had attempted to buy “yellowcake uranium ore from Africa for nuclear weapons was an undercover CIA officer. In other words - he refused to lie.

Karl Rove did tell Time magazine reporter Matt Cooper that former Ambassador Joe Wilson’s wife worked at the CIA. A senior Bush administration official told The Washington Post that, shortly after the publication of Wilson’s piece in the New York Times — which undercut the administration’s case for launching a pre-emptive war against Iraq — two top White House officials-Rove and Cheney’s aide - had called six journalists to disclose the identity and the position of Valerie Plame, Wilson’s wife. That same senior administration official said: “Clearly it (the leak ‘outing’ Plame) was meant purely and simply for revenge. This vendetta type behavior is standard–apparently for Rove.

Another question - why is Robert Novak not on the hot-seat? or in jail? Something fishy this way comes…

Can we trust this administration in anything at all?]]

Meanwhile – it has taken them this long to come up with the bull-shit they are trying to feed us now. How long before we get the cajones to boot the whole mess of them out – good grief – what’s going on?
